NPR's Marcie Sillman interviews Dr. Patricia Kuhl to explore the implications of proposed Federal initiatives to map the human brain.

This caps off a week-long effort by I-LABS scientists in Washington DC to stress the crucial roles neuroscience, early learning, and education play in the future of America's children.

In this segment Dr. Kuhl explains how I-LABS, in collaboration with researchers across the country, will seek to leverage 21st century research methods to explore the inner-workings of the human brain.
