I-LABS undergrad wins prestigious Mary Gates Research Scholarship

Rona Ding, a senior in Speech & Hearing Sciences, was awarded a Mary Gates Research Scholarship. Mary Gates Research Scholarships are competitive scholarships intended to enhance the educational experiences of undergraduate students at the University of Washington while they are engaged in research guided by faculty. At I-LABS, Ding is co-mentored by Assistant Professor Adrian KC Lee and Research Scientist Ross Maddox in the study of crossmodal auditory and visual attention.

Ding is minoring in Math and hopes to go to medical school after graduating and doing a year of AmeriCorps.
