Gloria is an international student from Singapore, a senior majoring in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She has been working on her honors thesis with Drs. Christina Zhao and Patricia Kuhl. Her research examines the relationship between early music training and working memory.
Mary Gates Research Scholarships are intended to enhance the educational experiences of undergraduate students at UW while they are engaged in research guided by faculty. Gloria believes that her research experience will help her better implement research knowledge into clinical practice in the future. She will be presenting her work at the Undergraduate Research Program’s annual Undergraduate Research Symposium in May.
