Student of Adrian KC Lee wins UW President’s Medal

Michelle Drews, a student who studied with Adrian KC Lee, has been awarded the University of Washington President's Medal, in recognition of her distinguished academic record.

Michelle worked as a research assistant in the Laboratory for Auditory Brain Sciences and Neuroengineering (LABS^N). Through the UW’s Computational Neuroscience Training Program and in collaboration with Dr. Natalia Kleinhans, she spearheaded a pilot study on characterizing auditory attention in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She also contributed to a feature article which appeared in Audiology Today entitled, “Brain Imaging, Neural Engineering Research, and Next-Generation Hearing Aid Design. Congratulations, Michelle!!
