Dawson Nichols, Ph.D, is an Outreach Specialist at the Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences at the University of Washington. In this capacity, Dawson makes early learning and brain development research accessible to different audiences through diverse media.
 
Prior to coming to I-LABS, Dawson traveled internationally as a playwright and performer. His published plays continue to be performed around the US and abroad and his audio work is still available in podcast form. As a teacher, Dawson taught a variety of subjects at Cornish College for the Arts, CWU, The University of South Carolina, and North Seattle College, where he was a tenured professor for more than ten years. Dawson is a husband and father of two and lives in Seattle on an urban farm.
