Joanie (Rio) Frazier is an undergraduate at the University of Washington. She is in her senior year majoring in linguistics and minoring in Spanish. Her interests lie in first and second language acquisition, the neurological and cognitive processes involved in understanding and using more than one language, and the pragmatics of the same. This is Rio’s first experience with research and she’s excited to join the Cognition and Cortical Dynamics Lab and learn more about the interplay of language and cognition.
